Over the past decades standard clothing sizes have changed many times that is why the nominal size of a vintage item shown on the tag and the real size of the item – assuming it was produced nowadays – can differ. And the difference can be quite significant.
However we have a solution for this problem. We measure each piece of our collection and classify its size according to modern standards; this is exactly the size – adjusted to familiar modern standards – you see in our display.
Specific nature of vintage clothing stock means also that as a rule there’s a single copy and –respectively – a single size of every item in the collection. On one hand, this ensures each piece is exclusive and unique. On the other, what is to be done if you’ve fallen for an item, and its size does not fit? We recommend addressing clothing restorer specialist who can «adjust» your dream item to the required size. This is quite common practice among our regular customers.
