Not Just Design: Chanel Premiere Watch

Design of Chanel Premiere watches remains relevant to this day. But do you know the reason why they have this shape?
The first line of Chanel watches was designed by jeweler Jacques Helle. The dial combined three DNA of the French fashion house at once.
Firstly, it resembles the octagonal shape of the Place Vendome, where the Ritz Paris is located - Coco Chanel lived there for many years. Architecture is a source of inspiration for many couturiers - and the Chanel house is not an exception.
Secondly, the shape of the Premiere watches resembles a bottle of the iconic Chanel N°5 perfume.
And thirdly, the bracelet is a reinterpreted chain belt of classic Chanel bags.
