Polka dot dress by Jacques Heim

Vintage couture red dress with black polka dots by Jacques Heim is a classic new look dress with a neckline and a crinoline, which looks quite modern and does not require a corset. The dress was made of percale cotton in couture workshops during the lifetime of the founder of the fashion house Jacques Aime. The house of Jacques Heim was founded in Paris in 1930, had a branch, including in Saint-Tropez, and in the 50s, during the heyday of couture, was one of the key French fashion houses. It is in this capacity that Jacques Heim is represented at the exhibition Les annees 50: La mode en France, 1947-1957 (the 50s: Fashion in France, 1947-1957), which has just opened in Paris at the Palais Galliera Fashion Museum.
