Yves Saint Laurent Lilac Dress

Vintage Yves Saint Laurent wool dress with a bow collar and wide cuffs with gilded button row fastening at the front. This a is an early 1980s Saint Laurent Rive Gauche dress: with its bodice, flared skirt and tie collar, it had become the main silhouette of late 1970s-early 1980s. Yves Saint Laurent will reproduce it from one pret-a-porter collection to another, with different variations, in different fabrics, with inevitably different prints: from Russian Pavlovsky Posad flowers to Turkish paisley. Vic's mother from the first 1980 movie «La Boum» played by Brigitte Fossey will wear such dresses, a similar silhouette dress we will spot on Catherine Deneave in 1983 movie «The Hunger».
